ROAD

|
Rocket7 Road shoes have
been in the UCI Pro Tour, Giro, TDF, Olympics and World Championships.
They were designed for high-performance, high mileage riding.
- The lightest
production shoe in the world. Approximately 180 grams per shoe ( size
40)
- A three-strap
Velcro™ closure system provides ample comfort and support of the
upper across the foot. Lightweight and efficient, this age old
closure system is still the best medium for securing the foot.
They won't break, strip or fall off in a crash like buckles do.
·
- Synthetic
micro-fiber leathers provide a fit that will not stretch, fade
or decay like natural leathers do. Micro-fiber fabrics are lighter
and repel water better for a consistent long lasting fit. Breathable mesh windows provide unparallel airflow through the upper to keep
feet cool. On days when the ambient temperature of the road is
higher than your body temperature, carbon fiber soles on any shoe
will conduct heat to the foot. Our mesh vents keep the airflow
at a maximum to reduce heat build up.
- Hand-laid carbon fiber soles are at the heart of Rocket7's performance.
Stiff but compliant for maximum power transfer. We use the highest-grade
carbon fiber available and wet-lay every shoe with the most advanced
epoxy resins available. Don't be fooled by "white carbon" products;
if it is white, its called fiberglass. Fiberglass is heavier and
only a fraction the strength (and cost) of carbon fiber. · Rocket7's
integrated carbon heel-cup was the first ever in the cycling industry.
Often referred to as a "monocoque" design, our heel cup is shaped
all at once with the sole. This provides better power transfer
and critical weight savings.
- Our stack
height (sole thickness at cleat) is the lowest in the industry. A scant 6mm at the ball
of the foot, Rocket7 keeps you as close to the pedal as is physically
possible. Lower stack height means better power transfer and less
muscle fatigue.

TRIATHLON

reversed Velcro™ closure system provides ample support while keeping
the straps out of the chain when pedaling through transition.
- Synthetic
micro-fiber leathers provide a fit that will not stretch, fade
or decay like natural leathers do. Micro-fiber fabrics are lighter
and repel water better for a consistent long lasting fit.
- Brushed lined
backing inside the shoe provides a smoother feel to the bare foot.
Often when exiting the water, the skin of the feet is more sensitive
and mesh linings can have an abrasive feel.

PRESCRIPTION / RX

PRESCRIPTION starting
$1,350
second pair $950
|
For the most unusual feet with very special needs, Rocket7 can build
a shoe for you around a full plaster cast of your foot. The casting
may only be performed by a Certified Pedorthist (C-PED) or Doctor
of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). The prescription shoe price does not include casting fees set by the Cped or DPM. (Note: Casting and consulting
fees are established by the Cped or DPM and are not controlled by
Rocket7.) The prescription shoe includes all possible modifications:
your choice of colors (from Rocket7 color swatch), cleat mounting
options and custom integrated footbed. Full custom shoes require
6 - 9 weeks to build and are subject to the needs of further adjustments
or alterations. It is advised to plan your needs accordingly as
an investment in full custom shoes goes far beyond your immediate
needs for hitting a race deadline. As these shoes are generally
for people with foot conditions that often boarder line on severe
medical conditions, the time involved in producing these shoes is
very intensive. Rocket7 does not issue exact delivery dates nor
adjustment dates on full custom projects. The needs of each customer
will range and thus the time needed to prepare and complete each
shoe will vary. There are no
discounts or special offers on these projects.
What are the
differences between stock sizes and prescription? While stock shoes
are built around a last library of 8 widths and 40 sizes, prescription
shoes are built around a "manipulated" model of your foot
(to correct a specific foot ailment in many cases). The materials
used to build a prescription shoes are exactly the same as stock
shoes. The only difference is the shape. One shoe is not "better"
than the other. |
